Due to the uncertainty of the postal situation at the moment, Passport Canada recommends that Canadians take the following measures to submit a passport application-effective immediately.
These measures are in place to help Canadians obtain passports according to their travel needs and to minimize the risk to applicants in the event of postal service interruptions.
For urgent travel & for travel within the next 6 weeks:
Apply in person at one of the 34 Passport Canada offices across the country.
The following pick-up options are recommended for those with urgent travel needs:
For non-urgent travel (if you do not plan to travel within the next 6 weeks):
Wait to submit your application.
OR
Submit your application in person at a Passport Canada office or Service Canada location that accepts passport applications.
OR
Send in your completed application with supporting documentation via courier to:
Passport CanadaPassport Canada is working with a Canadian courier service to have passports and supporting application documentation returned to clients in a secure and timely manner; however, clients may encounter some delays in delivery due to the uncertainty of the postal situation.
