On August 25, 2016, the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) will host a virtual technical briefing on Canada's role in OSIRIS-REx, the first NASA-led mission to return an asteroid sample to Earth.
Scheduled to launch on September 8, 2016, OSIRIS-REx will help answer fundamental questions about how our solar system formed, how life began and how we can avoid asteroid impacts with Earth.
The CSA's contribution to the mission is an advanced laser system known as the OSIRIS-REx Laser Altimeter (OLA).
The briefing will be followed by a question period for the media.
