Founded in 1983, FCSI is the home of the Greener Village Community Food Centre, the largest Food Bank in New Brunswick.  The organization has a community based approach in addressing food needs and offers a variety of services.

Fredericton SPCA Inc. (Fredericton, New Brunswick)
ACOA Assistance: $19,226

The Fredericton SPCA began in 1914 and built their first animal shelter in 1977. They recently changed the name of their facilities to the Fredericton SPCA Animal Adoption Centre. The organization advocates and promotes humane, responsible, animal guardianship; while providing temporary shelter, care and adoption opportunities for animals in need.

Through this project, the Fredericton SPCA undertook plumbing repairs, code upgrades, and acquired new equipment. The upgrades will address important operational and sanitary issues of the facility.

The Geary Lions Club is a Community Hall which serves as a meeting location for all members and is open for public and community events.
