Minister Qualtrough addresses the 32nd International Seating Symposium on the issue of accessibility and inclusion for all Canadians

Today, the Honourable Carla Qualtrough, Minister of Sport and Persons with Disabilities addressed an international audience, highlighting the importance of accessibility and inclusion, during her opening remarks at the 32nd International Seating Symposium in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The International Seating Symposium (ISS) is considered one of the premier meetings in the world for dedicated clinicians, researchers, manufacturers, and others who work to improve seating and mobility among people with disabilities.

During her remarks, the Minister outlined the critical role mobility devices serve and applauded the efforts attendees of the symposium are undertaking to advance seating and mobility innovations and to improve the lives of people with disabilities.

Minister Qualtrough also highlighted the Government of Canada’s commitment to ensuring greater accessibility and opportunities for people with disabilities in their communities and workplaces.
