Canadian Armed Forces to commemorate 25th anniversary of the liberation of Kuwait
OTTAWA, ON – February 25, 2016
Media are invited to attend a parade and ceremony to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Kuwait, with Canada’s senior serving veterans of the war and Lieutenant-General Michael Hood, Commander of the Royal Canadian Air Force. The ceremony will recognize the contributions made by Canadians as part of Operation FRICTION during the First Gulf War. More than 100 veterans of Operation FRICTION are expected to attend the ceremony.
- Ceremonial activities begin at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016.
