Escape from Dorchester Penitentiary - Minimum Security Unit

February 12, 2016 – Dorchester, New Brunswick – Correctional Service Canada

On February 12, 2016, at about 3:15 p.m., inmate Jeffrey MacLean escaped from Dorchester Penitentiary - Minimum Security Unit.

The police have been notified and the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) will continue to work with the RCMP to locate the offender as quickly as possible. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jeffrey MacLean is asked to contact the police.

Jeffrey MacLean is 29 years old, measures 180 cm (5 ft. 11 in.) in height and weighs 66 kg (145 lbs). He has a medium complexion, blue eyes and brown hair. He is currently serving a sentence of nine years, four months and 21 days for armed robbery, robbery with violence and disguise with intent.

CSC will investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident and is working with police to locate the offender as quickly as possible.

CSC has given the police all information available to help arrest the inmate.
