Minister Goodale and Parliamentary Secretary Picard to deliver remarks

The Honourable Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, will provide opening remarks via video recording at a national roundtable on supporting public safety officers affected by post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other operational stress injuries.

Michel Picard, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, will be present to deliver a welcome message.

The roundtable is an important first step toward the development of a coordinated national action plan on PTSD, and will include public safety officers, including firefighters, paramedics and police, government officials, academics and not-for-profit organizations.
