Red Brick Music Publishing receives financial support from the Government of Canada
November 3, 2014 – Toronto – Department of Canadian Heritage
Red Brick Music Publishing will receive $31,487 from the Music Entrepreneur Component of the Canada Music Fund.
John Carmichael, Member of Parliament (Don Valley West), made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.
This funding will help Red Brick Music Publishing support and promote their catalogue of talented Canadian artists at home and abroad.
- The President and founder of Red Brick Music Publishing, Jennifer Mitchell, also co-founded Casablanca Media Publishing—the largest independent music publisher in Canada.
- Red Brick Music Publishing was incorporated in 2012.
- The Canadian music industry generates close to $3 billion in economic activity every year through sound recording sales, concerts, commercial radio and performing rights.
- In an average year, the $24.6 million Canada Music Fund helps support more than 400 album-production projects and 1,100 marketing, touring, and showcasing initiatives.
