The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the Riôtel Matane has been granted financial assistance to modernize its facilities. The work will enable the 4-star hotel to improve its tourist accommodations and distinguish itself from its competitors by a unique signature.
This support is awarded in the form of a $804,633 repayable contribution through CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program.
- The Riôtel Hospitality Group will invest a total of $8 million to expand Riôtel Matane, located on an exceptional site along the St. Lawrence River.
- CED’s financial contribution is part of this vast renovation project and will be used to expand the hotel’s common areas, thereby improving the lobby, reception area and meeting rooms.
- This project has already created some 10 jobs, and the company expects to increase this number once the work is complete.
